PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad– SmartTerm, the cohesive web and mobile school and learning management platform aimed at reinventing the way education is facilitated in the Caribbean, has partnered with Project Jaguar, the Antigua-based platform where teachers can create and manage courses online, to expand education management infrastructure throughout the Caribbean region. The partnership took effect on June 1, 2019.
The partnership, which will allow for improved sub-regional local support and improved customer service for the Eastern Caribbean, will strengthen Smartterm’s ability to support countries that currently deploy its platform in their schools.
“By the end of 2019, we will be operating in several countries, including Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, St. Lucia, Dominica, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Ecuador, to name a few. Partnerships like this will help us to make the kind of impact we always hoped, and we look forward to partnering with other individuals, companies and governments that want to advance education in the Caribbean,” said Shamir Saddler, CEO of SmartTerm.
SmartTerm’s rapid growth has coincided with an increase in the need for reliable education technology infrastructure in the Caribbean, and this partnership will help those Caribbean islands that use the platform to have the support they need at their fingertips.
“Although we’re solely in the business of helping teachers start their own business, we realize that our values and goals align well with SmartTerms,” said Trevaun Solomon, CEO of Project Jaguar.
SmartTerm’s vision is to enhance education technology infrastructure in the Caribbean and be the premier provider of those services within the region.
